>>Dedicates this event to the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi through a Carnival
Global Indian International School Bannerghatta organised Global Li’l Star 2019, an Inter pre-school competition in Bengaluru on the occasion of Mahatma’s 150th Birth Anniversary, to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation. The day-long Gandhi Carnival had students of 8 pre-schools participating in various competitions. With an audience gathering of over 250, including 92 student participants in the age group of 2 to 5 years, witnessed this event with great zeal and enthusiasm and made Global Li’l Star 2019 a huge success.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Bansal, Director Operations, GIIS India said, “Global Li’l Star is an opportunity for students across schools to showcase their talent to a larger audience. Our NINE gems framework aims to promote and encourage holistic development of students and Global Li’l Star is a step forward in that direction. This competition aims to provide a platform to students to enhance their creativity and hone their non-academic talent.”
The competitions under Global Li’l Star 2019 included coloring, clay modelling, patriotic solo song, solo/group dance, speak up, rhyme time and ramp walk by kids. The competitions were followed by a prize distribution ceremony. There were judges from outside the school who decided the winners and runner-up for every event. All participants were given goodie bags and a certificate of participation.
The event concluded with a session where parents were made aware of GIIS’ Mahatma Gandhi Centre of Universal Values (MGCUV). This was followed by GIIS students performing a play on the theme of ‘GANDHI AS I SEE TODAY’.
