NIIT Limited, a global leader in Skills and Talent Development, announced ‘Future Ready Talent’ an initiative to encourage youth to enhance their knowledge through future ready programs, together with their regular academic curriculum.
As part of the initiative, Zerxes Wadia, TV actor, Video Jockey & Head of branded content at Viacom addressed the youth at NIIT centre in Thane, Mumbai, on‘Unboxing your potential with new age digital marketing skills’. Speaking about future ready skills, he said, “New age skills are constantly evolving and that is exactly what NIIT is talking about and pushing to learn. The more up-to-date kids these days are, the more relevant they will be to having a successful and awesome career. Here’s hoping that NIIT’s word spreads amongst the generation because we are India’s future.”
He also shared his experience of digital advertising and branded content at Viacom to inspire and motivate students.
In addition to this, the seminars are also being conducted in NIIT Borivali & Dadar centres on 12th July 2019 and in NIIT Andheri East centre on 13th July 2019.Priya Kumar, popular motivational speaker and bestselling author will talk about ‘Importance of IT skills for career in new age industry’, at NIIT centre in Borivali. Raj Brar, a global entrepreneur and owner of One Energy Media will talk about ‘Bridging the gap between academia and industry by skilling up’, at NIIT centre in Dadar, and Ranveer Allahbadia, an entrepreneur will talk about ‘Importance of skilling up for a successful professional journey ahead’, at NIIT centre in Andheri-East.
NIIT will conduct seminars nationally across 26 centres in India, in the month of July, wherein successful leaders from diverse fields will share their experiences with the youth, building awareness about the importance of new-age future ready careers.

Through this initiative, we aim to build awareness about new career possibilities and provide them with an opportunity to develop and grow in the field of their choice through our new-age career programs.”
According to the Future of Jobs Report (World Economic Forum), jobs in digital technology will grow from 17 % in 2018 to 33 % in 2022. Estimates have indicated that 75 million jobs may be displaced by a shift in the division of labour between humans and machines, while 133 million new roles may emerge that are more adapted to this model. This demonstrates a huge requirement of skilled employees for futuristic industry 4.0 job roles.
Towards this, NIIT offers new age programs in Digital Marketing and Branding, Data Analytics and Predictive Modelling, Full Stack Product Engineering, Banking and Finance and Accounting & Business Analytics.
