A conference on infinite possibilities of digital marketing ‘Digital Rising’ was held at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Kochi. The conference was organised by Beegains Technology Solutions LLC, a leading digital technology and marketing agency.
Delivering the Keynote address on the changing landscape of digital India, Mr. Sorav Jain, digital marketing expert and trainer, said that in the new era of digital disruption, India is witnessing an exponential growth in digital marketing with an estimated 50 crore population now connected to internet and smart phones. The online users would cross 65 crores by 2020. 76 percent now access internet via mobile phones. Digital marketing is scaling up showing an annual growth of up to 40 percent.

Mr. Ritesh Daga, Business development Consultant, Google Mr. Ritesh Daga said that 82 % of the smart phone users use a search engine when looking for a local business. Searches for “store near me” for offline retail stores for fashion and lifestyle grew by 50% in a year. ‘Increase in mobile searches for “same day shipping” is 120%. There is 58% spike in searches for consumer electronics in the festive seasons. 79 percent of the car buyers who watched an online video took action after watching it. Further there is likelihood of 50% users expecting to buy something immediately while using a smart phone.’
