Suncity School student’s video selected among 70 prize-winning entries in UIDAI contest
Gurgaon: Suncity School student Anmol Dhingra’s video has been selected amongst the 70 prize winning entries in the contest hosted by The Aadhaar Authority of Govt. of India (UIDAI). UIDAI had recently conducted a pan-India contest inviting children to upload their videos explaining the benefits of Aadhaar Card and driving up the Aadhaar enrollments.
Anmol has been awarded a cash prize by UIDAI. “A soon as I came to know about the contest, I made the video in less than half an hour. Little did I expect to win,” said beaming Anmol, a class IV student at Suncity School.
On being asked how he would utilize the cash prize, he said: “I lead a CSR initiative ‘Arpan’ of Suncity School as a part of which I along with my friends have been engaged in providing education to the underprivileged. I have purchased stationery out of the cash prize which would be distributed to Arpan.”
Anmol’s father Mr. Pankaj Dhingra said: “We have been encouraging Anmol to participate in such contest regularly. This is a unique initiative to make people
aware of Aadhaar enrollment. It has also cleared the misconception that Aadhaar is only meant for adults.”
Meanwhile, Suncity School is also proud of Anmol’s achievement. “We, at Suncity School encourage children to regularly participate in extra-curricular activities. They go a long way in encouraging the holistic development of children,”said Ms. Rupa Chakravarty, Principal, Suncity School.
