Deadline ending for results, Mumbai University yet to clear 3.35 lakh papers
The deadline to declare degree results is just hours away, still the Mumbai University is yet to evaluate close to 3.35 lakh answer sheets. This probably makes a delay in result announcement. On Sunday only 23,674 papers were evaluated. Availability of faculty members is a main problem. Barely 928 faculty members out of the 5000-plus turned up for assessment
The Maharashtra governor had given the Mumbai University until July 31 to declare results of 477 examinations. But, till Sunday, results of only 151 examinations have been declared. The interruption in declaring results resulted in the delay of admission processes for various courses for students. Because of this the students are facing acute problems regarding their higher education.
“328 results are yet to be declared. We are hoping to declare 100 more by the end of the day on Monday,” said MA Khan, the Registrar, University of Mumbai.
