Sunaina Singh appointed as the vice chancellor of Nalanda University

New Delhi: Noted educationist Sunaina Singh has appointed as the new vice chancellor of prestigious Nalanda University.

President Pranab Mukherjee made the appointment of Sunaina Singh, who is currently serving as the head of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) in Hyderabad.

“An acclaimed Professor of English and an illustrious administrator holding several key positions,Prof Sunaina Singh, presents a rare blend of excellence in academics and administration. Few academicians can match her integrity, intellectual caliber, and dedication to teaching, research and administration,” states the website of EFLU on Sunaina Singh’s profile.

In January, the President appointed eminent computer scientist Vijay Bhatkar as the university’s chancellor. Vijay Bhatkar is the president of the RSS-affiliated Vijnana Bharati, a science movement with swadeshi spirit spearheading by the nationalist forces.
